I Love the Harry Potter books! The first time I tried to read them I was almost done Grade 3, and they were WAY too hard for me. But a few years later I tried them again and just like anyone who has read them I instantly fell in love with the books. So this is a list of my favourite to least favourite Harry Potter book in reverse order, starting with my least favourite.
7. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

The reason Chamber of secrets is my least favourite is because it doesn’t completely seem necessary. It is like, all the main points we do come across are not used anywhere else in the books, and the climax is to the other climax’s in the rest of the series, and nothing really. The main thing in this book, was the diary, and the diary comes into play later, in book 7 when it plays a signifagent role in the downfall of Voldemort.
6. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Goblet of Fire is not my least favourite, but differently not my favourite. The reason I don’t really like it is because some of the most important details don’t make much sence. For example Mad Eye Moody the greatest Auror in history, should have been able to defeat Barty crouch jr, and not get stuck in the crate hidden in his office. But I do also love this book is because it is a good break from all the threats of the world, it is basically a “fun year” for the Hogwarts students.
5. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone
This book can be either higher or lower on the list given its importance as the to where the series begins. The amazement of getting to see the wizarding world through Harry’s perspective, and experience new things with him makes up for a lot of the flaws within the rest of the book. I don’t support Harry’s belief that Dumbledore felt Harry deserved a chance to face Voldemort , he would never have let an 11 year old, who has only been doing magic for a year face Voldemort, the greatest evil wizard of all time, if he could stopped Voldemort himself. There’s no excuse for why Dumbledore went away from Hogwarts, only to return to the school because he knew that Harry has gone after the stone, to prevent Voldemort from having it instead.
4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I was super disappointed in this book, because the ending is far too sweet, and tied up in a pretty little bow, also because of all the things that had never come up in the series before. It just didn’t fit well. But aside from the failure ending, I enjoyed the novel, espeshally the backstory on Dumbledore’s life. The backstory story, and early life of the greatest wizzard of all time (dumbledore) shows the complexity of what is good and evil, right and wrong, and shows that much like the serires’ lesson of Harry, Dumbledore’s has suffered great loss.
3. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
This is my 3rd favourite book in the series. This is the one book that I really felt back and forth about. Throughout the book, the dramatic starts itself from the very beginning, a quite appropriate setting given how precariously close the wizarding world is to falling apart because of Voldermort’s return to power. In this book Harry begins the journey and lessons from Headmaster Dumbledore, learning about Voldemorts past as well as his Horcruxes. Even for a Harry Potter book the half -blood prince is a magical read. It is also the last book with Dumbledor, and let’s be real, life is never really the same after his death.
2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

The reason that this book is not number one is simply because the other book was better. This book is defenitly in my top 2. The reason for this is because this book is where we really start learning about the greater wizarding world, and not just the characters within Harry’s knowlege and Hogwarts. It is also the first major example of one of the main themes of the series - how do you distinguish good people from bad?
1. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phonix
Let the criticisms begin. Yes, yes, The Order of the Phoenix is my favorite book in the series. It is the exact book in the series that tends to obtain the most reactions, with many people either loving or hating it. The reason I found this book so incredible is that it marks the evoloution of the series’ characters as they grow up and leave behind any traces of innocence. This book gives us the most annoying evil character of the series in Dolores Umbridge who swoops in to ruin the Hogwarts experience and entirely shifts the dynamic of the series. This book brings us the most adult perspective yet, bringing the reader inside the Order with the war coming. The plot becomes infinitely more complex and intricate in this book JK Rowling has taken us from childhood experences, and stepped it up to more mature experences. Harry really becomes a different character here, influenced by the previous books, the charecters aren’t children anymore and no one is playing games with them (its life or death). The DA and evolution of the students is exhilarating and empowering along with the death of Sirius is a heartfelt statement of loss.

I hate literally every single book in the entire universe so I can not relate to anything you are talking about however if I were to listen to a book I would like it a lot more. It looks great keep up the good work.
